"Thank you for the vision videos. It was very informative to learn about the cataract surgery procedures prior to my mother having her surgery. The information was very helpful to us."

I would like to thank Dr. Grosinger and his wonderful staff for eliminating my life-long need for glasses. While glasses often got in the way of my lifestyle, (I once forgot my contacts on a snowboarding trip and had to put my goggles on over my glasses, resulting in a huge headache and distorted vision all day) I had no idea what a huge convenience it would be to have full peripheral vision and no vision accessories to track and maintain.  I moved to Chicago 6 years ago but was a patient of Dr. Grosinger's for 15 years prior to that move. Knowing how comfortable I was with Dr. Grosinger and the wealth of experience he has (and seeing several successful LASIK surgeries from his office) I chose to drive to Detroit from Chicago for the surgery. I am glad I chose care over convenience. From start to finish I was comfortable with the level of information, options given, frankness about the procedure and care. As a graphic designer, I am heavily dependent on perfect vision for my livelihood. Dr. Grosinger addressed each of my concerns insightfully. Being able to do the whole procedure in the office was a big help to my nerves, as was the private waiting room I got to lounge in while waiting for the medicine to take effect. Follow up care was a breeze; thanks for being flexible with my 6 hour drive! Thank you all again for taking such great care of my eyes. I look forward to another winter of snowboarding without glasses!

My situation was serious, and apparently daunting to other eye surgeons.  After 3 different retina/ macula repairs in one eye over several years, acuity in the damaged eye was seriously deficient.  The retina surgeon then advised that cataracts were developing in both eyes and referred me to a “basic practice?” ophthalmologist.

Over the following few years, 2 doctors prescribed ever stronger corrective lenses while saying “no urgency” for cataract removal.  After my last driver license renewal vision test was just barely passed, with 20/40 in the better eye & 20/100+ in the damaged eye, I sought more pro-active help.

Less than a year later, I found Dr Grosinger, who gave me confidence that he could substantially improve my vision, then he and your excellent staff delivered.  After cataract removal, my eyes are now 20/20 and 20/40; comparable to when I finished high school not needing glasses.  Naturally, I am thoroughly pleased.

When my Ophthalmologist retired a number of years ago I was referred to Doctor Grosinger. What a blessing that has been for me! I came with a lazy right eye that never developed (very little vision in this eye) and a weak left eye that was corrected with glasses. My initial visit with Dr Grosinger indentified two additional problems: 1. I had the beginning of acute angle-closure glaucoma, 2. the start of cataracts.

Dr. Grosinger later performed an in-office laser procedure to address the glaucoma which prevented optic nerve damage and loss of vision. After careful monitoring for a couple of years he determined it was time to perform cataract surgery with new lens implants to address issues I was experiencing that are common like blurred vision, poor night vision, and sensitivity to light. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I now only need glasses to read and for safety use.

Dr. Grosinger knowing I was apprehensive about any surgery because I essentially had only one functional eye has been awesome. He was very patient with me explaining the diagnosis and prognosis and gave me the confidence he could make dramatic improvements in my vision. He did exactly that and my wife is also a patient as well. WE LOVE HIM! Thank you Dr. Grosinger for the dramatic transformation you have made with my vision!

Dr. Spigelman,

Thank you so much for making such a difference in my life.  I am enjoying a freedom I have never know.  Before surgery my eyes felt  itchy and irritated.  I was always having to worry about how long I could wear my contacts.  The whole experience has been great.  Your surgery center was wonderful, as well as your office staff.

Roberta

Dear Dr. Spigelman,

On Tuesday I came into your office fully prepared to express my gratitude for the fine and precise work you did on my eyes.  Yet as so often happens nowadays, the words wouldn't come.  For the first time in more than sixty years, I can see all the way across the street!  My eyes feel fine and are working beautifully.  Thank you!

Also, the staff, both at the surgery and in your office, are superb.  Those of us who mostly frequent your office have not been so vulnerable since infancy, yet I didn't detect a shred of disdain or dismissiveness from a single one of the people who helped me.  They were unfailingly kind, expert, and professional.  A direct reflection on the boss.

So thank you, Dr. Spigelman, and bless every one of you.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Patricia D.
