Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS)

March 31, 2015

Eye-Michigan-Newsletter-March-CVS

Computers, Smartphones and Tablets Can Cause Headaches and Blurry Vision

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) untreated tends to grow more severe over time. If you look at a screen for extended periods of time, it is important to have regular eye checks to diagnose if a change of prescription or a new prescription is needed for computer use to alleviate your discomfort.

Tip: Use the 20/20 rule.

After every 2 hours of continual computer use, rest your eyes for 20 minutes. Also, for every 20 minutes of computer viewing, look into the distance for 20 seconds to allow your eyes a chance to refocus.
