AcrySof® PanOptix IQ® Intraocular Lens
Grosinger, Spigelman and Grey Eye Surgeons are offering the first trifocal lens available in the United States, the PanOptix® Intraocular Lens is the only lens available that is designed to give clear vision at all distances and substantially reduce the need for glasses.
The PanOptix® Intraocular Lens will treat cataracts and presbyopia, which is the inability to focus on close up objects such as reading, with one procedure. Further, this lens is available with astigmatism-correcting technology.
Clinical studies have demonstrated that 99% of people with the PanOptix® Lens would choose the same lens again and over 80% of patients reported that, within the past week, they never had to wear glasses to see.
PanOptix® is already one of the leading presbyopia-correcting lenses in more than 70 countries and the physicians of Grosinger, Spigelman & Grey Eye Surgeons are pleased to be one of the first practices in Michigan offering this technology to our patients.
AcrySof® Toric IOL
Depending on the natural shape of your eye, the AcrySof® Toric lens can offer correction for your astigmatism to maximize your visual clarity and help to reduce your dependence on glasses at near or far. The Toric IOL offers a more predictable surgical outcome versus other astigmatic correcting procedures
As investigators for the FDA study of the HOYA Toric Implant and having participated in studies used to optimize the toric IOL, you can be confident that the physicians of Grosinger, Spigelman & Grey are exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled in calculation and surgical placement of these premium lenses.
TECNIS® Symfony Extended Depth of Focus Lens
FDA approved in 2016, the TECNIS ® Symfony Lens offers many advantages in comparison to other multifocal intraocular lens choices. The innovative design of the Symfony IOL maximizes an “extended range of vision” or extended depth of focus (EDOF) and integrates astigmatic-correcting technology to decrease distortions caused by irregularly curved corneas.
Unlike traditional multifocal lenses which offer distinct zones of clarity, the Symfony lens provides a continuous spectrum of sharp vision from distance to intermediate and much improved near vision in comparison to monofocal IOLs. With these lenses, patients often enjoy only needing low-power reading glasses for fine print.

Multifocal lens, on the other hand, can give you clear vision at all three distances, from near to far and everything in-between. Toric lens, treat pre-existing astigmatism at the same time it corrects cataracts, so patients don’t have to undergo two separate procedures. Patients also enjoy improved-quality distance vision.
