Dry Eye Symptoms During Winter
In the winter, the outdoor air is dry which can dry out your eyes. Dry indoor heat further dehydrates the eye which can cause pain, swelling, blurred vision, burning, teary eyes and can make you more vulnerable to corneal infections.
There are things that you can do to help relieve these symptoms. Wear sunglasses, stay hydrated, use warm compresses to increase tear production, and use a humidifier indoors.
If you are still suffering, there is professional help for dry eyes. Contact Grosinger Spigelman & Grey in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan for an appointment with one of our ophthalmologists.
Happy Hanukkah
Handwashing Awareness
The CDC recommends frequent handwashing to help reduce illness and spreading germs to others. Many diseases are spread by not washing hands. To wash your hands properly, make sure you scrub for at least 20 seconds with soap and clean running water.
